Festive greetings and time for reflection!

As I tie up all the loose ends in the office, for both Perfect Words and The Sanctuary Angels (my animal charity), I want to take a moment to reflect on 2019, and also to thank all my clients for continuing to put their trust in me.

It has been an interesting year, with serious family illness, a road accident, a big birthday and plenty of political turmoil. I continue to believe that the universe gives us time out when we need it. So during the summer, when I was preoccupied with caring for family, work tapered off a little. I wasn't sure if the hiatus was All About Brexit, but I prefer to think that it was someone watching over me and clearing my diary so that I could focus on what needed to be done outside the office. Thankfully everyone is now doing well, and things have picked up again in the PW office. Not to mention the £5,700 raised for animals around the world in 2019 through The Sanctuary Angels – something that I am immensely proud of.

I have really enjoyed my work this year, and I do believe that my editing and proofreading are evolving all the time. It can take a while to really grasp the difference between the two, practically, and to understand what is important, and what is not, when working with clients. I have also enrolled on an Editing Mastery course, the aim of which is to learn deep and powerful editing. Ironically, I signed up to it when things went quiet, but since then I haven't had a chance to start it!

Anyway, I would like to wish all my clients, and all those who have supported my charity, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy 2020! Let's hope next year is a good one for all of us.
