I am an experienced proofreader and copy-editor with 25 years of in-house and freelance experience, and I am an Intermediate-Level Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading. For 10 years I worked at St John's College, Cambridge, producing high-quality literature as part of an events-management and fundraising team. This involved project management, copywriting, copy-editing and proofreading, among other things. When I left St John's in 2008, I created Perfect Words, and I have since worked freelance with students, academics, publishers, universities, charities, authors and businesses. I have polished and sharpened dissertations, articles, papers, CVs, covering letters, websites, book drafts, magazine copy, reports, proposals and white papers. Expect excellent customer service and a human (no robots here) who responds to your queries quickly and efficiently.
 
I also created an animal charity

When I left St John's College, I also created The Sanctuary Angels, a small voluntary organisation that raises awareness and vital funds for animals and their rescuers around the world. This involves managing a small team of volunteers, fundraising, copywriting and ninja-style admin skills. Since I created the charity in 2008, we have raised more than £100,000 for animal rescue – in the form of £500 Angel Grants.
