What is good editorial customer service?

On my home page I state the following: Friendly, quick and professional – all-human – customer service guaranteed.

But what does good editorial customer service look like?

How can I make this claim with so much confidence?

Here's what it means to me – and what I try to offer my clients:

  • a quality product or service

  • a professional who invests in ongoing training and development

  • fair and transparent pricing in line with standard industry rates

  • excellent and consistent communication

  • a mixture of confidence and humility when dealing with clients, who want to feel like I know what I'm doing but I'm also approachable and a good listener

  • reliability and an ability to meet deadlines – extra important in the world of academia

  • professionalism, including excellent boundaries that benefit both me and my clients

  • and, finally, the ability to make my customers feel special – at the end of the day, we all want to feel seen and heard, and be offered solutions to our problems.

Get in touch if you want professional and friendly editorial support – I can guarantee it.
